Section Extra — 20-Point Hiring-Manager Rubric
What this section does
Use this weighted checklist to self-audit every case study. Scores ≥ 26 indicate “interview-ready” for juniors; ≥ 32 for mid-level.
How the rubric works
- 0 / 1 / 2 scoring – 0 = Not present, 1 = Adequate, 2 = Excellent
- Weight column – Some criteria count double (Impact & Evidence)
- Evidence link – Paste a URL or file reference for charts, screenshots, or analytics that prove your claim

Scoring targets
- 26 + Hire-ready (Junior / Career-changer)
- 32 + Hire-ready (Mid-level)
- 36 + Stand-out candidate (Showcase level)
Fast-fix guide
- Problem lacks metric? Add baseline number from analytics or interviews.
- No evidence link? Screenshot an A/B chart, usability clip, or Figma frame.
- Accessibility missing? Run Axe DevTools and adjust colour/focus order.
- Collaboration unclear? List hand-off docs, dev specs, or stakeholder workshops.
Using the rubric
- Print or duplicate the table for each case study.
- Score cold – skim once like a recruiter and mark quickly.
- Link or attach evidence for every criterion that claims a metric or artefact.
- Prioritise fixes starting with any Impact & Evidence items scoring 0.
- Peer review – swap with a colleague for blind scoring to mimic panel objectivity.
